2013

This past year was pretty eventful for my little family. There was a lot of good, a little bad, and a few ugly moments but overall, it was a wonderful year. I made a few new friends in Iowa, my silly boy turned one, I gave birth to my daughter, Travis found his career, I moved to a new city and made even more new friends. I hope 2014 brings even more good into our lives and that it's full of opportunities for us to grow and thrive.

Yesterday we spent the day with some friends. It was a great day that ended with an awesome fajita dinner and an ornament exchange.

Arya's new seat

This is actually her second new carseat. She hated the infant bucket so we initially picked up a Graco My Size.  We ended up having a few issues with the seat so we got a refund and picked up a Diono Radian r120 instead. As you can see, she thinks it's chest clip is delicious.

Arya Rose, Four Months Old!

At four months old Arya is 25.5" tall, 15 pounds 5 oz, wearing 9 month tops and 9-12 month bottoms (largely due to cloth diapering again)!

Being tired, girl will fight sleep like no other.

Brayden is eighteen months old!

This is a few days late seeing as he hit 18 months on the 23rd but we were all sick! At eighteen months old Brayden is 27 pounds, 33 inches tall, wearing 2T tops and bottoms, and toddler size 6 shoes. He's learning new things each and every day. He's such a bright boy!

Sorry I've been MIA lately, my kids have been keeping me busy, my husband came downnwith pnuemonia, and I've been hanhing out with a new friend! I'll be back to my regular schedule here in a few days.

Twelve Weeks Old

Apple Picking!

One of the things that I insisted we absolutely had to do this fall was go apple picking as a family. A quick search on google helped me find Cider Hill Family Orchard! The orchard was beautiful and we actually picked a perfect afternoon to go (84 degrees with a really nice breeze). Brayden had a blast running around the trees (and we think he enjoyed the hayride, it's hard to tell at 16 months). We're hoping we can make it back out there before the picking season is over.

Arya slept the entire time we were there in our Ergobaby Carrier. If we do make it our there again, hopefully she decides to be awake for some pictures.

Finally picked up a snuggabunny-

I don't know how we lived without it before! Her old swing (from Brayden) was awful since day one. Pardon the blurry phone picture (it's moving) but we scored this swing for $65 off of craigslist here in KC and she loves it.

Maybe I can finally get some unpacking and organizing done in this apartment to make it feel more like home! Once we're fully settled in I'll start posting more.

Moving-

It's stressful! We made it to KC safely last night and we're in the process of unloading everything today! So far I'm loving everything about being here. I look forward to my computer being up and running so I can write a thorough post!

This is it-

This weekend is going to be a huge (and busy) weekend for my little family! We're making the official move from Waterloo, IA to Kansas City, KS! I still have a ton of packing and cleaning to do since attempting to get anything done with two under two is practically impossible! I can't wait to be all settled into our apartment and have everything in it's rightful place. I look forward to being able to cook REAL meals again and getting to cuddle my husband again.
